What is Curve card
The Curve card was created for people who have more than one debit or credit card. The principle of the service is very easy. Simply enter the data of our currently owned cards into the mobile application cooperating with the service. When you pay for goods or services, in the application, select the card that you want to use for this transaction.
Only one (or none) of your cards linked to Curve can be active at a time, so even in the event of a loss of a physical Curve card, your other cards are still safe.
However, you can also use them at any time independently of the Curve application. The insertion of the card into the Curve application has no effect on the operation of this card. You can also remove any card from the application at any time.
What are the benefits of using the Curve card
Thanks to the use of the Curve service, you no longer have to carry all our credit or debit cards with you. This is undoubtedly the greatest advantage of Curve. Additionally, all cards “attached” to the application may be frozen in a way. We can activate any card just before making the transaction and immediately after its completion, deactivate it again.
If you make a purchase in a foreign currency, Curve will convert the amount at a very good interbank rate. In the basic version of the card, the monthly limit of foreign currency transactions at no additional costs is 500 pounds. With the Curve card, we can also withdraw cash at ATMs. The free version of the card allows you to withdraw up to 200 pounds per month without paying commission.
How to use a Curve card, where to start
The entire process of registering in the application and ordering a debit card takes place online. You start by downloading the application, e.g. by clicking one of the links in this post. You can also search for the application on Google Play or the App Store. After clicking on the link, you will go to the official Curve website.
After clicking the “DOWNLOAD FOR FREE” button, you will be asked to enter a phone number to which you will receive a text message with a link to download the application. After installing the application, you have to provide the e-mail address to get the activation link. Then click the link, to automatically return to the application, where you enter your mobile phone number.
How to use a Curve card, step-by-step instructions
1. Installation
After clicking the “DOWNLOAD FOR FREE” button, you will be asked to enter a phone number, to which you will receive a text message with a link to download the application. The application can also be downloaded directly from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Account creation
After starting the application for the first time, click the “CREATE AN ACCOUNT” button and then enter your e-mail address.
3. Verification
You will receive an activation link to the address provided. Click the link and go back to the application. In the second stage of verification, you have to provide the mobile phone number. Copy the code received in the SMS into the application and click the “CONTINUE” button.
4. Personal details
In the next step, the application will ask you to provide personal data. Enter the first name, surname and date of birth in three different fields. Click the “INFORMATION CORRECT” button and enter the address data in the next window.
5. Promotional code
To receive the £10 bonus, you need to use the promotional link. You will receive your bonus after making the first payment with Curve card. It must be a transaction with a PIN, subsequent payments may already be contactless.
The last step is to order your card. You have two options to choose from: free Curve Blue or paid Curve Black.
